Call for Proposals – Round 9
The New Connections program has released its ninth annual Call for Proposals. This call for proposals seeks Junior Investigators and Midcareer Consultants who:
- have been underrepresented in RWJF research and evaluation programming activities and would be first-time grantees to RWJF.
- are historically underrepresented ethnic or racial minorities, first-generation college graduates (i.e., first in their immediate family to receive a college degree), or individuals from low-income communities.
- Junior investigators are no more than ten years from the receipt of their doctorate. Junior Investigators are eligible for a two-year grant of up to $100,000.
- Midcareer Consultants are those who have at least ten and no more than fifteen years of experience in research and/or evaluation. Midcareer Consultants are eligible for a one-year grant of up to $100,000.
Successful applicants in this round of funding will craft projects that address RWJF’s program priority areas: Child and Family Well-being, Childhood Obesity, Health Insurance Coverage, Healthy Communities, Health Leadership and Workforce, Health System Improvement. Additionally applicants should clearly articulate how their work aligns with the Foundation’s vision for a culture of health.

Selected applicants invited to submit full proposals.
April 23, 2015 (3 p.m. ET)
Deadline for receipt of full proposals.
Finalists notified of funding recommendations.

We will hold a web conference call for applicants to provide additional information on the program’s goals, to assist applicants with the initial application process, and to offer an opportunity for applicants to ask questions. The web conferences for both Junior Investigators and Midcareer Consultants are scheduled for January 6, 2015.
We highly encourage prospective applicants to participate in the web conference. Applicants can register for the appropriate web conference call by visiting the links above. Registration is required to participate.
